John Angée was born in Medellin Colombia in 1958, the number four in a family of 12 kids. At age 17 he attended The School of Fine Arts of his native city, but had to drop-out very soon due to financial hardship of the family. At age 23 he moved to Miami, where he continued his art education, first at the Miami Dade College where he graduated with an Associate Degree in Art Education and another Associated Degree in Science. After that, he Attended the New School of The Arts (Florida International University) where he graduated in 1993 with a Bachelors Degree of Fine Arts in Painting, and then at the Florida International University graduating with a Masters Degree of Architecture in 2005. John Angée has been working as an artist almost since arriving to Miami, often alternating with film, Television, architecture and other activities mostly related to art. At the present time, John lives in Miami with his wife and two kids, and works as an artist and an architect.
