The Price of Freedom

Located at St. Thomas University in Miami .Forida, beetwen the Main labrary and the Human Rights Law Library, "The Price of Freedom" is a Large steel painted sculpture of aprox. 10 Feet high, that represents a family that engages in the difficult adventure of crossing a dangerous ocean to escape the tyrany an hunger of their country to look for a better life in a land of freedom.

Thise picture shows a close-up of some detailes of the piece in which we can appreciate the representation of life and future inside the bodies of the child and the mother.

In this picture we can see a scale reference made with the two children that are the size of the child in the sculpture.

St. Jude and the Children is a contemporary representation of the saint made in aluminum. The original piece is 2' tall, but it is only the model for a 20' feet sculpture proposed to St. Jude Children research Hospital in Memphis Tennessee.
